Danske scenekunstnere der arbejder for børn og unge inviteres til at besøge den spændende Krokusfestival i Belgien fra d. 17. – 22. februar 2023.

• Indgår i netværksmøder med festivalens internationale deltagere med udgangspunkt i din profil og interesser.
• Deltager i festivalens fagprogram, aftertalks og festivalcafé.
• Har god tid, til at tale med dine danske kolleger på togturen ud og hjem til Belgien.

Krokusfestival har eksisteret i 25 år i Hasselt, og viser et eksperimenterende repertoire af forestillinger, der ofte skubber til grænserne for den kunstneriske praksis inden for scenekunst for børn og unge. Festivalen er rettet mod lokalpublikummer, og er et af de centrale mødesteder for europæiske og globale fagfolk.

• For ikke-medlemmer: 7.000,- DKK

ASSITEJ Coffee Session

We are continuing the conversation on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in artistic collaboration, production and programming. ASSITEJ is pleased to welcome two great speakers: Bo Hårdell and Aurélien Mancino, from Teater 5005 (Denmark). They will present different historical and sociological elements concerning deafness. These different points of view raise questions about issues of accessibility and inclusion. Based on the framework of the UN International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, they will attempt to define the place that should be given to sign language and Deaf artists in the world of live performance.

Session Speakers

Aurélien Mancino Graduated of a master’s degree in psychology, Aurélien Mancino has been working for more than fifteen years in the field of deafness in connection with clinical and cognitive psychology. Co-founder of the Cie ON OFF in 2008, a theater company in sign language, he participates in the development of various shows combining visual art, theatre, dance and sign language which have an influence nationally and internationally. Living in Denmark for some time, he now participates in the work of the deaf Danish theater company 5005. Their first project “Constellations” in international sign language and voice-over has participated in various festivals and is starting a tour soon.

Bo Hårdell  Bo Hårdell is an actor, Deaf and native Danish Sign Language speaker. With a degree in Lingustics and in Sign Language Interpreting and training in Acting he is committed and has professional experiences in the theatre field as well in sign language field. Today, he is director in newly started Teater5005.

At sikre en større mangfoldighed i teater for børn og unge er et af de vigtigste emner i en dansk kontekst. I september afholdt ASSITEJ Danmark, Horsens Teaterfestival og Dansk Teater 300 År et velbesøgt seminar med dette emne. Nu kan alle interesserede fortsætte samtalen på globalt niveau i ASSITEJ Internationals Coffee Session d. 8. Nov. kl. 15.

Babel – or The Art of Listening in TYA er et europæisk samarbejdsprojekt mellem 14 partnere, der ønsker at forfølge drømmen om kulturelt medborgerskab blandt børn og unge. BABEL vil udfolde og undersøge den interkulturelle dialog, kommunikation og fælles forståelsesramme i TYA og mere omfattende indenfor scenekunsterisk praksis for børn og unge.
BABEL søger ansøgere til 2 forskellige calls.

Call 1: International Call for residencies for 16 Next Generation performing arts practitioners

BABEL is seeking proposals for participation and residency bursaries up to 500 EUR for 16 young artists and other young professionals within the framework of the Next Generation programme from ASSITEJ International. The artists and professionals selected will have the chance to interact with festival organising at different levels, to observe and participate in festival activities.

Call 2: International Call for for participation in training workshop 

BABEL is seeking performers to participate in ‘BABEL Creation Work Groups’ – training workshops – on the theme “The Art of Listening, the sensitive relationship between performer and child/adolescent spectator” during the performative act. The call programme entails training workshops during the 1^st and 2^nd rounds of creation work groups taking place at different Babel Squares (festivals) around Europe over the period of 2023-2024.

Velkommen til tre nye medlemmer af ASSITEJ’s bestyrelse! Vika Dahlberg, Naja Birke og Laura Madsen. De blev valgt ind i går på vores generalforsamling, der fandt sted i de unikke og transcenderende omgivelser hos Sisters Hope Home.

ASSITEJ Danmark står i en spændende tid med store projekter og internationalt momentum. Et momentum der nu skal ledes af denne gruppe engagerede og dygtige mennesker:

Grundet komplekse lokale og globale finansielle og geopolitiske omstændigheder, må vi desværre, på vegne af ASSITEJ Serbien and ASSITEJ International videredele informationen om, at ASSITEJ Artistic Gathering, der var planlagt til May 2023 er blevet udskudt.

De nye datoer for denne vigtige ASSITEJ begivenhed bliver 20. – 24. november 2023, og starter med den internationale fejring af Børnenes Dag.

ASSITEJ Serbien og ASSITEJ International er opmærksomme på de implikationer, denne ændring har for medlemmerne, men efter mange overvejelser, er denne udskydelse desværre den eneste mulighed for at afholde eventet.

At eventet placeres så tæt på ASSTEJ Verdenskongres i Cuba i Maj 2024 vil blive udnyttet som en mulighed for at udvise støtte og opbakning til vores kolleger både for delegerede og værterne for begge events.

Thank you for a great seminar on diversity at Horsens Teaterfestival. We really think we moved the conversation forward in a Danish context with very qualified input from our speakers and good conversations with all participants. ASSITEJ Danmark vil gerne sige tak til Statens Kunstfond for at støtte tre af vores projekter. Det drejer sig om støtte til at invitere internationale gæster til den næste Aprilfestival. Midler til at sende danske teaterfolk til Krokusfestival i Belgien. Og sidste men ikke mindst en tænketank, der skal arbejde med, hvordan nogle af de vante positioner frisættes, og flere danske scenekunstnere og institutioner kan inviteres til at kigge ud over landets grænser. Herunder hvordan vi drager nytte af det internationale momentum ASSITEJ International har fået med den nylig støtte fra Creative Europe. Mere om sidstnævnte kan læses her.

Within its experimental cycle dedicated to youth, le labo des cultures seeks to draw up an inventory of artistic, cultural and public structures supporting projects allowing teenagers to take a significant part in their missions and spaces, to become active in their own cultural journey. A survey on the French territory led by the organization enabled to identify many initiatives where French teenagers were able to use resources provided by these cultural structures, to express and accomplish their ideas. These encounters led le labo des cultures to create in 2020 the National Network of Youth Committees to connect professionals in charge of these youth committees and exchange on their experiences, and search for good practices to build long lasting projects.

With the support of Scènes d’Enfance ASSITEJ France, the organisation wishes to open its survey to international projects, to discover the plurality of ways to incorporate youth to the everyday life of a cultural structure. This is why the organization is keen to get in touch with structures around the globe to collect and highlight the work of professionals, volunteers and teenagers. These projects can take many forms such as artistic creation, co-programming, shared governance, or content creation to highlight the structures’ actions, etc. Whether you are a theatre, a state related structure, an organization or an artistic company, le labo des cultures is really keen to exchange with you and the teenagers you are guiding.

The organization le labo des cultures is founded in 2019, carried by a group of people reunited around the drive to facilitate the interactions between arts and people, to renew classical approaches and traditional medium for art awareness and to serve intercultural relations.
Place of experimentation for new practices, ideas laboratory, this project aspires to invent new methodologies for art awareness, more sensory and immersive, and design innovative tools. le labo des cultures defends ludic methods, based on investigation, popular education and cultural rights.
