Work Programme 2011 - 2012
The Board of ASSITEJ Denmark will – together with its members – work towards focusing on its three core areas: Children’s Cultural Rights, Global Network and Global Promotion.
In general:
To increase the level of funding for ASSITEJ Denmark and to secure the present funding of the Secretariat on a permanent basis.
To co-operate with other organisations to ensure that our influence in all matters regarding cultural initiatives for children and young people is binding.
To organise international exchanges by inviting foreign colleagues to events in Denmark – in order to share experiences and visions and develop a network for theatres for children and young people around the world.
To strengthen the cooperation with the Danish Arts Council and the Committee for the Performing Arts with the view to widen the knowledge of Danish Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA).
To continue the production and promotion of international presentations on Danish children’s culture.
To increase the general knowledge about ASSITEJ Denmark.
To increase the knowledge about good Danish TYA manuscripts in co-operation with other partners.
To inform the members of ASSITEJ Denmark about current activities and events.
To increase the membership of ASSITEJ Denmark.
To strengthen the collaboration with the Odsherred Theatre School.
To continue to prioritise the close co-operation between the Nordic countries in all international work.
That the Nordic centres work to maintain their influence internationally in order to ensure a continuous openness, equality and diversity in the area of children’s culture.
To ensure a positive influence and a fruitful dialogue with ASSITEJ International and the representative in the international ASSITEJ Executive Committee.
Together with the members investigate possible structures for the future work in ASSITEJ Denmark.
In particular:
To evaluate and exit the 17.th Worldcongress and look at the spin-off and the possible collaborative oppertunities that the worldcongress created.

European Taboo-workshop to be held in May 2012.
Festival 2012 - theatre for young audiences: International guests and international platform with the theme ' co-production between african an european countries'.
To be represented at specific international festivals, eg. the 1.st international ASSITEJ meeting at the Okinawa Festival in Japan 2012.
To support projects developed in cooperation with ASSITEJ's members and develop a 'model' for such projects.
To further develop the collaboration with the Middle East and West Africa. In this connection starting from specific projects in collaboration with the Danish Centre for Culture and Development (CKU).
To collaborate with the Danish Arts Council and the CKU about a further development of an exchange project regarding a TYA theatre festival taking place in Shanghai.
To continue the development of a collaboration with the Balkan area and a Danish/Serbian/Turkish project.
To continue the co-operation with the other ASSITEJ Centres of the Nordic countries and to arrange and carry out a Nordic seminar in Sweden/Denmark.
To extend the collaboration with the Latin American ASSITEJ Network together with the other Nordic ASSITEJ Centres.
