International guests at the Danish Festival - Theatre for Young Audiences More than 80 international guests from 25 countries participated in the Danish Festival 2010 - Theatre for Young Audiences, in Esbjerg. The guests were actors, buyers, festival managers, collaborators, delegations from Arts Councils and professional networks.   This year we were able to invite 19 guests from the following countries: Austria, Finland, Iran, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Lithuania, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, Serbia, Sweden, Turkey and the US. The invitations were supported by the Danish Arts Council and the Danish Centre for Culture and Development.    The purpose of the invitations is to develop the network for Theatre for Young Audiences and to develop the collaboration of the exchange of knowledge and experience. A positive outcome of the many visits has been a number of invitations to Danish theatres to travel abroad with their shows.    Next to all the Danish shows, the Festival 2010 also offered two international performances from Australia and France.   Statistics The latest statistics of the international tours of our member theatres (autumn 2008/spring 2009) shows that 26 theatres toured 70 times with 49 different productions - with a total of 371 performances! Statistics 2008/2009   The statistics covering the season 2007-2008 show that 21 theatres toured with 44 different productions - with a total of 456 performances. Statistics 2007/2008   During the period 1999-2007 more than 45 Danish theatre groups have toured to more than 45 countries with more than 2.400 performances! Statistics 1999-2007
